Selling On A Sale Trail

Selling on a Sale Trail is easy, and very similar to selling at a carboot sale. In order to help ensure that everyone has the best experience possible when selling though, we have put together guides for both our buyers and sellers.

You can find the guide for our sellers below, and our guide for buyers here.

Selling Tips.

It is entirely up to you how you run your sale, however we have put together some tips below to help you:

  • Put a "Sale Here" sign in your window before the event, and at the front of your property on the day of the event to help make it easier for buyers to find your sale.
  • Ensure you have plenty of change for buyers.
  • Make sure you are set up ready for the start time and try and stick around till the end.
  • Be honest when selling items - if an item is faulty, ensure you tell the buyer. Do not make any false claims.
  • Please ensure that you are compliant with all legal rules and laws, this includes any hygiene and labelling rules if you are planning to sell any edible items.

SaleTrail.co.uk are not responsible for any sellers/buyers or selling/buying. We simply collate a list of sellers together into a single list to help sellers get as many buyers to their sale as possible and to give buyers a comprehensive list of sales taking place at a specific time.

As the seller, you are responsible for deciding on your own pricing, looking after your belongings and takings, taking responsibility to ensure that it is safe for anyone visiting your sale and handling any complaints from unsatisfied customers.
